Here is the english version of the Interview
Questions: First, could you tell our users when then Quarantine Mode will be released?
According to the schedule it will be on EU service on 05.08.2009, it will be on the US service on week before.
We are hoping that we can fix as many bugs as possible during the few days instead of the 1 week delay.
We know the new Mode is playable Player vs. Player. What is with stats? Are this seperate stats like Fireteam Mode?
We are planning to separate the stats because the once a player becomes a zombie the gun damage reduces and the HP also changes.
The balancing is still under adjustment, so we can’t give any confirm data about the specific stats of a zombie.
Are there any special weapons to kill the zombies?
Not on this patch, but we may adjust weapons so specific weapons will be stronger on them.
Which weapons can zombies use?
Currently zombies will only be able to use their hands for attack. ^^;
Will people be able to pickup ammo?
Because this is a PvP mode, ammo pickups are not considered. But, I would suggest people to prepare as much as they can before battles.
What happens in Quarantine Mode if a player is dead? Is there a respawn?
If he dies as a Zombie (if zombies can die J) the player will have to wait until the round ends. But, if a human is infected by a zombie he will be able to keep playing. Of course if you kill your own character (by a grenade for example) you will have to wait for a few more minutes.
What powers do the zombie's have to be able to fight vs the humans?
As you see in the other zombie movies, the zombies are hard to kill and they infect your friends easily.
Do players turn into zombie's themselves after being attacked by them?
Yes, as answered above. J
Are zombie able to get past obstacles that normal players can't?
We are currently tuning the balance, so I can’t give a sure answer about that.
But they are definitely more stronger than humans.
How are the zombie:people players balanced (like 1:1 or 5:1)?
We are still adjusting this, but at the beginning there will be more of the uninfected.
Can we play Clanwars in this Mode?
This is another issue still under adjustment.
Is there only one map for this Mode or can we play current maps too?
For this month, it will only be available for the new map. If the players like it much we will try to bring it to other maps too.
How many zombie characters are there? Can we buy one or more in Black Market?
There are no zombie items at the moment. Each of your characters will become a different zombie depending on the character you are playing with.
What get players after playing this Mode? (GP?;EXP?;Items?)
Nothing is planned for this, but I am discussing within my team for item giveaways like the previous fireteam mode event.
Can we play the Quarantine Mode forever or is this a time limited Mode like the SnowBall Fight in US version?
It is an ongoing mode.
What do you like on this Mode?
The virtue of it is that you can keep playing even though you are converted to another side. In other games, you would easily be discouraged if your team starts to lose. But, here you get to play for the winning side again and you constantly get motivated.
Could you give us a first tipp to stay alive as zombie?
Make as many friends as you can. ;)
What can we expect for later this year? Are there any new great content (Maps, Items, Charcters, etc) under developement?
I wouldn’t want to get into the details too much but all three, and new modes will also be presented.
I’m happy to let those fireteam lovers that new PVE will be out sometime this year too.
I’m not proud to let you know that more mercenary will come out, because a majority of you don’t like them.
While I am aware of the complaints of the Specialists and other mercenary characters, I still believe that they are a factor that make the game more colorful.
For that reason reducing the GP price and making some more players be able to judge about it seems fair at the current moment.
Many players will playing against you. When is the best time for this?
To be honest, these days I’m in the game invisible more often.
I have a hard time to enjoy the game because of the many questions. J
My online hours are really random, but I mostly play the game between 03:00 – 16:00 GMT+2 .
